When I decided to lose weight with my new years resolution I never dreamed that in six months I’d shed 30 pounds and run my first marathon in over 45 months and have a PR by 3 seconds! Getting into running shape made me realize how I kept my weight off, I call it “My marathon weight loss program”, but I don’t think I’ll sell any books! You stay in marathon shape by running nearly every day. I ran 1500 miles in 2007 and Seafair was very special to me because it marked a new beginning for me as a runner.
Seafair was a great experience, I plan on running it every year now. They are changing the course in 2008 too! A very well run event and it had a few hills here and there, but I was able to navigate the hills and surpass my 2002 Capital City Marathon time which was a flat course, so not only did I lose weight, I trained better then I ever had and I ran every single training run on a treadmill!
